Welcome to
uLead 2025.  We are thrilled you will be joining us at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for our annual school leadership conference hosted by the Council for School Leadership of The Alberta Teachers’ Association.

If you have any questions during the event, we will have uLead team members throughout the venue wearing red and black plaid. The registration desk will also have our team available throughout the conference. This table can be found just outside of the Van Horne Ballroom where all of our keynote presentations are taking place.

If you need a digital map of the facilities, you can click here
For best use of this virtual scheduler and the most up to date information, we would recommend that you view it through a web browser rather than the Sched App.

Lead Like a Llama
Saturday April 5, 2025 10:45am - 11:45am MDT
You chose to be an educator, which says much about you. You care for others before yourself, find meaning and purpose in the success of others, and live a life of service. Just like a llama!
You are also exhausted.
Yet, with so many demands on your time, energy, and knowledge, educational leadership can also be exhausting.
In this session, we will acknowledge the complexity of education leadership and wrestle with solutions that get the best out of us and our schools.
Llamas may not be perfect, but they are perfect for their job. And so are you.

Leading from the Classroom Out!
Saturday April 5, 2025 10:45am - 11:45am MDT
Given the growing complexity of education today, principals must support the development of strong leaders throughout their building. Often leadership is only thought of as a position rather than on the impact of influence. Developing leadership capacity is often an underutilized competency in the Leadership Quality Standard. This session will focus on the importance of developing future leaders (formally and informally) and practical tips for school and system leaders to do this by valuing professionalism and autonomy.
